The Blessing of His Intention

I want you to know God intends for you live a pure and completely full life. Ephesians 1:4 encourages me with this truth through the following words: "For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight." I hope you are encouraged today to know God chose you long before you were ever born. This choosing was done in love through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Spiritual Life

I tend to be a black and white individual. Things go in their place. No gray areas. Yet, the spiritual life is difficult to compartmentalize. The "black and white" doesn't necessarily work. I'm finding the spiritual life to be much less definable than I previously thought. Prayer doesn't always look like prayer. Growth doesn't always look like moving forward. While this may have bothered me in the past, today, I find it strangely comforting. Comforting because in the not so "definable", I find Jesus.

  1. you are so right..... we were always taught that the Bible, God, being a Christan was black and white and no gray areas, but i think once we open up to let God out of the box and press in there are all kinds of gray areas, and they are not areas of compromise but areas of real truth...one thing that keeps coming back to me is that Jesus never did the same thing twice..... and if we are in Christ and Christ is in us then the way we walk out our everyday should be different.... what if we only said what we heard our Father say and only did what we hear our Father tell us to do.....He is with us each second of everday and if we could/would just be still and listen...but there is another place also that we need to be and that is a place of knowing who we are in Christ and moving on His behalf....because it is NOT what He can do for us it is what we will let Him do thru us and that what we do shows others who He is....

  2. Tagnos2,

I believe my relationship with God, via faith in Christ, is certain. I believe how that relationship works out can be hard to define for various reasons. Some of those would be:

    Differences between individuals.
    I am constantly changing/moving/adapting.
Sin impacts all of us in one way or another.

It is only as I know my connection to the Father through faith in His Son I experience any real certainty in my life. Like you said, I in Christ and He in me.
